I’ve been wanting to buy a house for a while but have kept putting it off. Recently I have been looking again and have noticed in my area and other areas there are a whole lot of empty homes for sale and homes that have been on the market for 180+ days.
I also noticed that prices quickly spiked somewhere around 2018-2019. Some houses which sold in 2018 are now on the market for 60-100% more than what they sold for back then. Of course we also have interest rates that are double what they were in 2018.
After doing some rudimentary investigation my gut tells me to keep waiting. Are market conditions good or bad right now and where are conditions going? What do you think? Change my mind.
