I did the math, and buying SPY puts for $390 and executing at $300 returns $89 million. At first I misread the calculator as $890k, but realized there were extra zeros. Why doesn't everyone do this every two years? You miss usually, but there's a 30% decline in the SPY at least every ten to fifty years. Do you need an account large enough account to collateralize the execution, so $170 million?
