My mother who is elderly yet still quite sharp let her guard down and fell for a scam that gave someone access to her computer for 30 minutes. They did this under the guise of installing drivers for her issue but they kept trying to sell her a fix, which was obviously a scam in itself, but I assume not the whole scam. This computer is where she did her finances and had old tax returns on it, including mine. She knew by the end of it what was what and has since froze her credit and changed all her passwords.

She plans on taking the computer in to some experts to have it looked by some pros, but is there anything else that I’m overlooking? I assume I need to freeze my credit as well since they potentially got my tax returns as well.
