Our washing machine stopped working. It stopped, and water was not draining, just sitting in it. I sucked the water out with my shop vac. My initial thought was that the drain pump was bad, so I removed and tested it. It was fine, so that wasn't the issue. My next thought was the lid switch. I removed and tested it, and it tested bad. In addition, the lid lock light was solid red. I ordered a new lid lock switch from Amazon for $23. I installed it yesterday and the washer works fine now.
