Long story short, I have been a supervisor in my company for 3 years. I initially accepted the position on the basis that we would hire additional staff to cope with the workload, but a change of managers put an end to that. In the time since I have been given increased responsibilities without any kind of salary increase. I've accrued over 700 hours overtime this year, and the long hours and pressure have finally broken me.

I brought all the above up to HR and my Manager, and their solution is effectively a demotion with reduced salary. I feel however this is unfair as the problem is the workload, not my ability to do the role. Is there anything I can do to counter this?
