I’m not entirely sure this is the correct sub for this but I couldn’t think of one that would make sense. Anyways, In Canada our natural gas prices are skyrocketing and I’m quite worried for the winter. We are stretched pretty thin and they’re saying numbers like 40% more than the previous year which really scares me.
I’m wondering if anyone has any tips to save money on heating during the winter months. The only thing I can really think of is leaving the oven open after use, keeping the blinds closed so the windows don’t let heat out… etc.
Any tips and tricks appreciated. If it makes a difference we have an Ecobee smart thermostat and we do keep it in “energy save mode” but we don’t have a basement. We did get our crawlspace insulated this past summer though so that should help.
