Sometimes being too frugal has side effects. Some that have happened to me or to friends. What’s the line you draw on being too frugal?
You don’t turn on the a/c so you leave the house window open. But the dust and pollen and moisture from outside can ruin clothes and interiors.
I changed the car oil myself, but the oil on my skin made me break out and the doctor visit negated any savings.
Tried composting but now have a fruit fly infestation.
