This has been going on for over a few years now, and I just got denied from a discover card for students that literally doesn't require a credit score. I have a single checking and savings account, have always paid my rent on time, always paid my bills on time. I gross 200k annually. I have never been to collections. Credit karma indicates my score is 635. I have called them. I have called Equifax, TransUnion. They can't do anything to help. There is zero instances of identity theft, I keep track of this. I'm assuming the score is low because there isn't much credit history, but I don't know. I have never had a mortgage or leased a car. This is annoying as fuck, I literally can't raise my score because I can't get a credit card despite being in amazing financial shape. None of this is bullshit. I'm guessing the only thing I can do at this point is get help from my parents to get a card.
