Hello folks. I'm torn between selling or renting the current home. Here's the situation. We are set to close on the new construction home at the price of 550k. Will be putting around 130k as down payment. Have about 200k as savings in the bank accounts.We were earlier thinking to sell our current home and use the net proceeds towards the down payment ,but the market lately have slowed down considerably in our area , so instead of getting atleast 175k as net proceeds, will be getting around 150k now after selling. If we rent, can get around 2k rent. Mortgage with property taxes, insurance and HOA makes about $1700. So considering everything, what do u guys suggest? Have to make a decision quick which path are we going.
