As the title suggests, I live in China as a foreigner and want to know if anyone has transferred money from their local Chinese bank to Firstrade. I contacted my bank and they said that they would take 1% of the transfer amount plus a separate 150 RMB transfer fee. They also told me that there would be other fees taken by the receiving bank and that they don’t know how much it would be.
Please let me know if you have done this before from a Chinese bank and what the fees were. This is the only reason holding me back from starting to invest now. I really hope there are no other problems otherwise I’d have to wait many years to move somewhere else and not have to invest through an international platform.
