What exactly makes the value of a stock drop? For example, Meta's stock dropped significantly back in February, but what makes that number go down? I've been reading that it's based off supply and demand, and that when people sell their shares, the price goes down. So did something happen where a bunch of people started selling their shares at a significant rate suddenly to make this stock price go down? What drives it to actually go down? Wouldn't these people lose money if they're all selling as it is plummeting? Thank you!
