This happened about a year ago.

So my tv in my living room began acting up. I’ve had it since 2011, so I wasn’t terribly surprised when this started to happen. The screen would just randomly shake and bounce. It was never damaged, it just started out of nowhere. The seemingly only fix was turning it off for awhile. After about a month, turning it off didn’t help. I googled and changed all the settings on the tv I could. Called Samsung, thinking maybe they had tips. They basically said it’s older and motherboard is probably going. So I needed a new one.

When I bought it, it was about $600 55 inch smart tv (they’re much cheaper now). I replaced the broken one with a smaller one I had in my bed room. Unfortunately the smaller one was not going to cut it. So Was about to just buy a new tv. Why not, 1 tv in 10 years isn’t bad.

I decided to try and fix my tv. I was going to trash it anyways what’s the worst that could happen. But absolute luck I found a YouTube video that had a monitor with the same issue the guy placed a small piece of electrical tape on one of the connectors and plugged it back in and it was perfect. I thought not f*cking way. I took my tv apart and with some trial and error, by golly it worked! I already had the tape so I didn’t even have to buy anything.

I literally saved about $400-$500 with an hour of work. I will say I got lucky with my YouTube find. But it’s been a year and I’m still using this tv!
