So earlier today my pea brain decided to liquidate half of my minuscule Roth ira and withdraw it. I’m on vanguard and I added my checking account on there. For those of you that know it’s quite the process several steps and they make you wait fucking forever to verify your account.
I’m prolly tripping but I’m pretty sure I connected my checking to vanguard with the account number and the routing number. Maybe I’m wrong maybe not. Pretty sure that’s what I did tho.
This wouldn’t send the wire to the wrong place. Since the domestic wire number and routing number on checking are different. Righttttttttttt…
Surely through the two week process verifying my account and then clicking through 50 screens to initiate the wire, it’s going to the right place? Surely they would have made it (if there was something I didn’t do that I needed) blatantly obvious like they do for everything else?
It’s late and I’m prolly tripping over this way too much. Pls flame me in the comments for my stupidity. This is a very small amount of money but I still clearly rushed through things like a bozo.
And also if I did send it to the right spot is it reasonable to expect the funds buy eod Monday if I initiated wire Sunday.
Ty for help
