Most of my friends are going abroad to study as part of the twinning program.
I really am tempted to join the twinning program because: - I love travelling. And have always dreamt of studying abroad - I’m sad that all my friends are leaving, and that I’d be left alone in my local university.
My parents aren’t able to fund my studies abroad , hence I was thinking of taking a loan to join the program for the year.
My local university fees are: USD 5000 (MYR 21000) per year. This is considered relatively high in Malaysia.
The twinning program cost USD 17000 (MYR 72000) per year. This is 3 times the local cost.
What do you think? I’ve always loved travelling and have spent most of my money from my part time job travelling and have absolutely no regrets.
I feel that few years down the road, I’d regret this once in a lifetime opportunity to study abroad with all my friends and make memories of a lifetime.
