So this happened around a year ago, my best friend was taking my other friend out for a sec because we were going to surprise the other friend for his birthday.
I let him take my car, he wasn't under the influence or anything. I was at home and I get a call from my bestie saying he crashed into someone. My bestie lied to me and said he wasn't at fault, paid me a bit for the deductible and I ended up getting my car repaired which raised my insurance rate but since I'm a dumbass and forgiving I let it go. For months I didn't know that technically he was at fault and the other person is charging my insurance for medical injuries. 67 thousand dollars...
Now that I know he WAS at fault and he injured someone I want him to reimburse me 100%. The car is done now but I can't pay for their medical and my insurance is crazy expensive. He's claiming he won't be able to pay for it because he's "scared his moms going to find out" but my family isn't that well off in the first place and my father and I are struggling heavily because of this. I think it's beyond that and I want to sue him. What yall think?
