I got a lightly used washer about a year and a half ago that recently gave out, and though it was a nice washer the replacement part was more than what we paid for the whole thing, so we just decided to get another used washer instead. I didn’t know what to do with the old washer and was dreading the cost of getting it hauled away (no truck).

So on kind of a lark I took it apart in my living room, with occasional help from YouTube, and put everything that looked valuable up on eBay for cheap. I didn’t expect it to work but I’ve already made enough to cover what we paid for the washer and with all the parts stripped off I was able to break it down into pieces small enough to fit in my car and take to the dump.

In many situations this would probably not be the best way to go, but just something to keep in mind.
