I’m sorry in advance if I should post this somewhere else - please just let me know! I am a 23yo female that would be living alone (so a safe city is very much a priority over trendiness or whatever). I make $40,000 annually (remotely so no commuting), have no car payment, a $25 phone bill, a puppy, and as of right now no student loan payments (which could change at any moment due to hostile parenting). I put at least 20% of my paycheck into savings and don’t spend that much but could also probably be better with not spending. I’m living with my partner but might be walking into a breakup soon, and I don’t have friends to room with. Can I live alone with what I have? What steps would be considered the right direction to becoming financially stable? Any city suggestions while we’re here?
