Kid had swimmer's ear. Took her to pediatrician to confirm. Doc says this certain types of eardrops are best, but insurance companies hate them so will probably be expensive. He recommended the Rx coupon app. So he sent the prescription to my regular big-box store pharmacy.

Retail, little tiny bottle of eardrops was @ ~$350. Insurance brought it down to ~$240. Rx app coupon at my regular pharmacy was ~$160. But Rx app coupon at grocery store $64.

Huge PITA to get the doctor's office to send the script to new pharmacy, then get big-box pharmacy to cancel it in their system, then call grocery store pharmacy to follow up 3 times to make sure they had the script and got it filled 15 minutes before closing time.

But, frugal drug shopping ftw.

Eardrops worked like a charm, btw.
