Car hunting is insane right now as I'm sure you all know. I've been told by a few dealerships (but not all) across a few different states (NY and CT mainly) that if I purchase a car from them but am not a resident of that state they need to charge me upwards of two thousand dollars since I'm taking product out of the local market.
Is this a fair or legal practice?
