I know that booze isn't a necessity, but it brings me a lot of pleasure. Spending a lot of money on the other hand does not make me happy and good beer is usually expensive. I found a local gas station/liquor store that has a "beer sale shelf" and that shelf has been my favorite thing the last few months. I don't know how, but it has a revolving selection of beers that would typically be $10 or more for a six pack but they are $3.99 for a six pack or $12 a case. I expect they are out of date or something, but I've never noticed that they taste bad. Most of the time they are from tiny breweries in adjacent states, but sometimes they are from mid-sized recognizable brands. It makes me enjoy my sunset beer all the more when I realize it was only 50 cents.
