Other likely relevant factors: sometime after my wife applied yesterday, the post was removed. Supposedly due to having a high number of applications (though the timing feels a bit odd). The high pay was not listed in the initial posting.

The LinkedIn profile for the recruiter is still active, and claims she works for the large company, but does anyone really verify that for a company with over 100,000 workers?

Even more suspicious, she started texting my wife, once last evening, then again first thing this morning. It feels very high pressure, and the grammer/spelling in the texts are sloppy, not a professional standard.

To be a bit less vague, my family is in the NYC area, so we already earn more than most (and pay more than most, you know how it goes). But what she's supposedly being offered now is rougly 75 percent higher than Manhattan level wages, while allowing for fully remote work.

Thanks all!

Edits to try to clarify- there was no direct offer, rather the (supposed) salary in the email (with more information about the 'job') was extremely high.

Also, we're not responding. The strong majority of initial responses are saying scam (of one sort or another), and that was our instincts, too.

Edit 2- We know not to send any money anywhere for anything. Appreciate the heads up, but that's not a concern here.
