I found a moving company that offered moving services across the country for about $2,500. I put down $1,300 ahead of time. My move was scheduled in November. I went to change some things with the company last week, and after my second contact with them I felt a little bit unsure. I looked into them online and found horrible reviews—not a single good one. I tried to cancel with them but the customer service rep said that they won’t refund any of my money after three days of signing up. This is not something I remember being told verbally, although I did not read the contract well enough because it is in the contract. Is there anyway for me to get this money back? I asked Bank of America if they could help, but the forms they sent seem to be for a situation where I did not authorize the payment, and I don’t think that fits this scenario. Really sucks—should have looked into them before agreeing to the payment, but the original salesperson was very smooth.
