Hello, currently I work for a small family business and make 1500 a week in cash. I work Monday through Saturday anywhere from 8-11 hours a day doing pretty exhausting physical labor outside in the Florida heat. I don't LOVE the work I'm currently doing for the company, but I do realize I get paid fairly well and appreciate the opportunity to work with my dad and a few siblings everyday. I also occasionally "flip" sought after items to help pay for our expenses. I usually bring in $500 to $1500 a month selling sought after retail products.

My wife is currently unemployed and is taking care of out baby at home. She is a registered nurse and got an offer to travel to Texas to work at a hospital for 13 weeks. They offered her minimum of 36 hours a week at $80 a hour and maximum of 48 hours a week, after 40 hours paying $90 an hour. So at a minimum it would be $2880 a week and on the high end it will be $3920 a week. We were told $1100 of each check would be non taxable and we assume that's to pay for our new housing.

We have a current mortgage payment of $2400 a month (which I will try to see if it's possible to have them differ the payments for 3 months while we would be gone), 2 cars which total with insurance $1100 a month. Internet runs about $70 a month and we would barely use electricity and no water at our current property when we are gone.

For the 13 weeks this would be a rough estimate of expenses and income.

Low End hours Estimate + 36hrs x $80 = $2,880 $2880 ×13 weeks = $37,440 - $2400 mortgage x 3 months= $30,240 - $1100 cars/insurance x 3 months= $26,940 - $ 2500 estimated rent x 3 months= $19,440 - $3000 for 3 months of food ect. = $16,440

$16,440 is what would be left over before taxes.

High End hours Estimate +40hrs x$80 = $3,200 +8hrs over time x $90 = $720 $3920 x 13 weeks= $50,960 - $2400 mortgage x 3 months= $43,760 - $1100 cars/insurance x 3 months= $40,460 - $2500 estimated rent x 3 months= $32,960 - $3000 for 3 months of food ect.= $29,960

$29,960 is what would be left over before taxes.

With my pay currently I would make $19,500 before all expenses and saving money for taxes.

I included the mortgage while gone in the estimates but I will try and see if I can have them differ 3 months or even 1 month so that would change the estimates as well. I may have a family member use one of the cars while we are gone and they would pay the monthly payment for it.

If we were to do this I would stay home with the baby while my wife goes to work and catch up on time that I have lost with her while I am out working.

I thank you so much for taking the time to read this and any response is appreciated.
