A recent change of status in a family member’s health has led me to need to fly relatively often (about every 6-8 weeks) to be with them on a rotating schedule with other family members.
I am trying to figure out the absolute most inexpensive way to travel there consistently.
I’ll need to fly due to distance (Nyc metro - Boca) and I must bring a carry on sized suitcase (I have to stay in a hotel, cant leave items there)- this causes budget airlines (frontier being a super local one flying out of my hyper local small airport) to become too expensive…. A $138 round trip ticket becomes $220 and all of a sudden I could be on United with comp drinks and snacks and an actual tray.
Any tips/tricks to cheapening costs of travel? I cannot mesh it in with business travel to expense it out, and I cannot drive because it would add too muchtime.
