I am working fully remote making $52k (plus a 5-8k bonus depending on performance, but I decided not to factor that in). My current job offers 4% 401k match, 3 weeks pto plus holidays and bday, insurance plan tho I don’t use it yet, and the culture is great. They do 6 month salary increases based on performance, I could earn up to $60k base salary if I stayed longer.
I got offered another job making $62k to start, no bonus, 1% match, 2 weeks pto with holidays and bday, 3500 relocation assistance, and they do an insurance plan that’s not as extensive as my current company. They do annual reviews for salary increases. This would be remote for the next year until I can move to Denver to work in the office. I don’t own a car so I’d need to purchase one next year.
Current monthly expense: $832 - rent, $400 - groceries/pet supplies, $1000 - savings, and $500 or so put into savings until student loan repayment comes back. Then I plan on paying in full once they come back.
If I were to move to Denver, I’d have to move across country (I’m currently on the east coast), get a car, factor in rent, groceries, savings and pets of course. Would 62k be enough to live in Denver? I would be working remote for the next year so I could technically save the extra income…
Thanks in advance!
