I have dental insurance but all it covers is basic cleanings. I was quoted $1500 to get all four wisdom teeth removed, I cannot afford this. I've looked into dental schools near me, but the nearest one requires a non-refundable $300 payment up front and explicitly states you're not guaranteed to get any treatment/paired up with a dental school student, so I'd really rather not risk paying them $300 only for them to tell me "oh sorry we don't need to train anyone to remove wisdom teeth right now, bye"

All four of my wisdom teeth are impacted, some of them have facial nerves running between the roots, and one wisdom tooth has just started to erupt. It is coming in very crooked, and pushing against my back molar. There's a lump on my gums, which I assume is the wisdom tooth pressing its way out. I can feel a tooth just underneath my gums right behind my 2nd molar.

I need to get that one specifically removed ASAP, the more it erupts the more likely it is to get infected and that'll just be a whole extra mess to deal with and more expense I simply cannot afford. The other 3 will probably do the same thing in time.

I live in texas. What options do I have to get all four wisdom teeth removed as cheaply as possible? Maybe even for free? I've even considered taking a trip to mexico to get it done there from a reputable dentist, but that's a looong drive since I live in far north texas.
