Soon to be veteran here. Will be utilizing the GI Bill for a BSN once I get out of the military. I was / have been very frugal while in. I will be getting out with:

NFCU Savings Account: $57,500.00

Roth IRA: $13,756.10 (Just contributions)

Roth TSP: $11,084.21 (Just contributions)

I am looking for some advice on where to go next in terms of a budget / employment. I am pretty lost, as the military is all i’ve known for the past 4 years since I joined right out of high school. The BAH for my area will be $2200. I plan on getting a part time job making at least $1000/month after taxes. I have no “marketable” skills (grunt). My plan looks like this:

Apartment Rent: $1,371.00/mo

Groceries: $300.00/mo

Car Insurance: $75.00/mo

Gas: $100.00/mo

Phone Bill: $20/mo (on the family plan)

Misc: $250.00/mo

IRA: $500.00/mo

Savings: Any “extra” income

I have literally no idea what other bills i’d have. The barracks and chow hall is the life i’m used to, and I have practically no expenses. Any help with a budget would be much appreciated.
