Hi there, I'd appreciate any and all advice you guys can provide :)

I'm a young professional and have been with this company for almost 2 yrs. I recently earned certification that allowed me to take a new role in our company's PMO, but when I learned that my salary would remain the same I was pretty upset. Tried to push for negotiation but essentially got shut down (they pulled the "this is a great stepping stone for you" card).

My previous job was that of support to our C-level staff and VPs. I still have access to one of their email accts and saw that an employee, who hasn't been there as long as I have, is receiving a 20% salary increase. Needless to say, I'm pissed.

What should I do here? Should I fight to negotiate my salary again for the new role I took? Should I check out other options, get an offer and see if they'll counter it? I do like this company and have great rapport with my colleagues; the CEO basically considers me like one of his own kids.

Any advice you'd have on what to do here would be super helpful. Thank you!
