I'm 20 years old (born in San Diego CA), and I'm currently living in Tijuana, B.C. Mexico.
I'm currently living in my aunt's house with my mom, not one of us work but my aunt and mom manage to get money somehow, not much, but some.
I thought about working in the U.S since the pay is so much better there, but I do not have a U.S home address to put on my job application, or to use it to apply for a bank account. I could use a P.O. box as an address but I don't have money to rent a P.O. box. I do not have a cell phone number because I don't have money to pay for it.
I feel stuck.
It feels like my only chance to survive is to get a retail job in Tijuana, but Mexico pays like 5 dlls per day of work. Not even joking.
I feel like I may never be able to escape from Mexico or that I will just straight up become homeless the moment something happens to my mother or aunt.
Does anyone with a less frustrated/worried mind like mine have any tips or ideas on what can someone like me do in this situation to have a way to move to the US?
