as title says, I have an old 401K account with Fidelity and I utilize the backdoor roth IRA every year by depositing $6,000 to my traditional IRA and rolling it to the Roth IRA. I am transferring my money to Vanguard. Vanguard says I can roll my old 401k to a traditional IRA and it wont impact my ability to deposit $6,000 into the traditional IRA and roll that over to the Roth IRA.
I thought that this was incorrect and I will not be able to roll over if you have money in an existing traditional IRA.
Can anyone confirm?
