We’re flying into the Orlando airport on Tuesday and we used Turo to rent a car. (Regular car rental rates were ridiculous!) I didn’t want to pay the $50 the car owner charges to deliver the car to the airport or the $$ it takes to leave airport parking garage. The car is located southeast of the airport near Lake Nona Blvd and 147. It’s 6.5 miles from the airport (probably less) but Uber is telling me it will cost at least $35 even though the neighborhood is right behind the airport.
I already looked into taking an Uber from a hotel that has a shuttle, to avoid whatever airport fees they tack onto the Uber fare, but all of the hotels with shuttles are north of the airport and we need to get south.
Any frugal ideas?
**Edit- I also already looked into taking the bus which would take almost an hour and 29 minutes of that is walking almost a mile with luggage.
