I wear zip-up hoodies as part of my job because they are very utilitarian, going between warm/cold environments. At least once a year I have a zipper break, but the whole garment is otherwise fine. Sometimes it's just the pull-clip, so replacing that with a paperclip or something is easy. Sometimes the whole pull itself breaks or comes off, and on some zippers you can simply replace the whole pull for a dollar (if it's the plastic kind of zipper). But what about when one of the "catch" pieces on the bottom breaks off? So it only has a catch on one side? I hate to throw away a perfectly good piece of clothing simply because a small but important part of it broke! (forgive me if I'm not using the correct terminology for these pieces). Advice/thoughts appreciated!
