I have about $1,500 worth of them. They all say Series EE Savings Bonds.
About half of them have $100 on them and the other half have $50.
They also say that the interest ceases after 30 years.
They date range from 1993 to 2010
So my question is, when it says interest ceases after 30 years does that mean they are worth their full value in 30 years? Meaning the ones that say 100 are worth 100 dollars 30 years after the issuance date? Or did they start at 100 and accrued interest for 30 years and are now worth more?
What is the best thing to do with them?
