I left school last year at 16 to work (for valid reasons, i dont fit the stereotype of a dropout bum) full time as a carpenters apprentice last year in May, for reference, i live in australia. Carpentry didn’t work out for me for a few reasons. I decided it wasn’t what i wanted to be doing, i was being paid $11.30 an hour, essentially exploiting child labour as a 25 year old in my position would be making well above $20. Among with the culture on the work site being very negative and egotistical, the final straw was a threat of violence when i asked a question about how to do a task. Since then i have been searching for more work in other fields as i can’t go back to school As a teenager making $500 a week, i stupidly blew it on useless things, eating out all the time, buying shoes, gifting things to people close to me. Soon after i left the carpentry company, i was back to having no savings Now you know that about my circumstances, here is my current situation

I want to do things differently this time, i feel i have learnt my lesson with money and hold it to a higher value now, especially after having nothing for months. Last week was a good week, i got 2 jobs within 3 days, i did my calculations and will be making around $860AUD ($664USD) every week. I currently don’t have bills to pay other than a few music and tv subscriptions. I was wondering if someone in the comments can share their knowledge with me on the topics of smart saving, multiplying my money outside of work et cetera. Open to any questions if anyone has them too Thank you 😊
