Everyday I want to cry. My credit went from 780 to 489 all in the span of a year! I’ve been dealing with it, but today it hit me like a train. First let me explain that I’m not a loser. I had a good job but then the pandemic hit. The extra 600 from unemployment that barely even covered rent. My credit declined in the process. Now that work is starting back up again I am now trying to play catch up. All of my credit cards are closed. I had to downsize a lot. Luckily my dad has two house and one is paid off. I moved into that one and I just need to pay utilities, so I can catch up. Im making payments with the collection agencies so my credit score is slowly catching up. I’m going to apply for a secure credit card with my bank to help bump it up. Those that had not so good credit scores how long did it take for you guys to bring it up? I don’t owe much. I should be able to pay it off by the end of this year. Also should I settle? Would that look bad?

I’m just not having a good day. I need a rental car in a month. I’m scared I won’t get approved because I know if you pay debit they run a soft credit check and I asked about renting a car in another group and people were so rude. They were saying that I won’t get far in life with a shitty credit and I must be a loser. It was honesty tough to read.

Thank you for taking the time on reading this for those of you that did.
