Let’s talk about meat boys
We are on the horizon of some big meat slapping gains here. We just need to find the right companies to get into.
We are talking synthetic meat. Lab grown bovine. Chicken of the lab. There’s tons of companies out there that are getting into it. I’ve yet to really see any public and I’m hoping we can all figure out some good plays.
Mosa meat- not currently public. Probably very close to it though. They where taking private investments and then stopped. I’m wondering when they plan on going public.
Memphismeats.com Product testing stage. They have products but nothing for public consumption. They are us based. Still no investors but they have reports of thousands of investors who want to part of their company. Tyson holds a major stake in this company. TSN may be a play here as well, until Memphis ipos. They are building a pilot plant to start to scale production.
Eatjust. California based company. Some products. They will be pushing products soon. They do plan on being in Singapore restaurants soon
Aleph farms is another. They state the current cost for 1 steak is about 50 to produce it. It will eventually go down.
I’ll be honest. This post is prob 3-4 years to early. But we gotta get this on our radars now. The sooner we can get into these future companies the better. There are more than 60 companies working on this right now. With companies shooting for net zero by 2050 we are getting close to this being a future top contender. It solves problems with food production on another planet or space in general. It would transform our farming methods.
Tyson and cargill are saying within 3 years to have it on shelves.
Richard Branson and Bill gates are investing heavy in this. They see this as the future of how we will eat. If people aren’t vegetarians then they will be eating this. It will be considerably more than regular meat early on, by 2-3 times. But within 10 years it should be cheaper. It looks like Memphis meats will be their play.
Singapore is very progressive with this. They will be the first to launch it and have products for consumption. Keep an eye out in their market.
Tldr: TSN may be the play for the early on investing of lab meat. Raise your awareness and keep your eyes peeled. I plan on slapping this meat on Mars.
