When I say all, I mean ALL of our investment vehicles are allocated to Vanguard 2045 (VTIVX). We are married and 40ish. The account types are:
- 2x Roth IRA with monthly contributions, maxed each year
- 1 Traditional IRA with no more contributions
- 2x 401k with payroll match and weekly contributions, maxed each year
- 1 old 401k
- 1 HSA with weekly contributions, maxed each year
These accounts represent close to 100% of our non-primary home net worth.
Is it bad to have them all allocated to the same Vanguard fund? Is the “lazy, really lazy, investor” a valid role? Should we diversify? It feels hard to believe we could beat the Vanguard 2025.
Thoughts?
