I had a debt collector reach via mail over a debt I already paid. I immediately sent a letter back with certified mail and a return receipt requesting validation. It’s been about a week and the collection company has not picked up the mail yet. Now it says “Delivery Attempt: Action Needed Reminder to Schedule Redelivery of your item”
I went ahead and filed a claim through consumer finance protection bureau. Do I need to resend the letter certified without a return receipt? I’m trying everything I can to prevent them from damaging my credit.
