I paid off $10k of debt recently at Chase Bank. They rewarded me by reducing my available credit by over $7000.00. Letters were sent the exact same day I paid the money. Any way to combat this?
Since this might be important. over the last month I have paid off 16k of CC debt at CHASE - now I have no outstanding balance on any of my CHASE CCs. The day I paid the first 10k off was the day they reduced my available credit for reasons that have been true for over 4 years. (when my credit score was lower, I had less income and I was struggling)
