I've been trying to cut screen time as overindulgence has been a problem for me for as long as I can remember. I spend most of my screen time in my bed, leading to poor sleep most nights.
My solution? saving money and helping end a bad habit by switching to a flip phone.
I just returned from a small hunting trip with family and was introduced to the Garmin Rino 755T, a robust handheld radio with GPS without a data plan. I don't want to spend $700 on a walkie talkie, but it made me realize there must be an affordable handheld device out there with a GPS and a map that isn't a smartphone.
So I wanted to ask: has anybody found a viable and frugal phone plan that still allows for off-the-grid GPS and map without additional fees, like my walkie-talkie flip phone combination?
