over the course of a few years, my dog has scratched the heck out of my cheap wood floor. i know barely anything about home improvement & was looking for a quick fix just to camoflage the deep gouges since i can't afford to redo the whole thing right now. so i got a little tin of stain & rubbed it in to the scratches, thinking it'd soak into the lighter wood underneath & blend in with the rest of the floor -- which worked perfectly-- but i didn't think about what the stain would do on top of the spots that still had finish. it was a super thin coat, so i thought it would just dry... well, it's almost a day later & it still feels tacky. should i leave it alone & give it more time? or try to wipe off what isn't drying? via /r/DIY https://ift.tt/3kff7CJ
