They were open maybe four months this year. They are freezing monthly charges but refuse to refund prorated prepaid memberships. Instead they say they will credit me the for the unused months when they reopen again...who knows when.
I’ve emailed them and they keep stalling stating I could go to another location that is open but that location is 30 miles away, which isn’t reasonable. I don’t even want to go to the gym, I just want a refund.
I know businesses are suffering but I saved up for the I’ve had changes in my situation too that make it hard to stomach being out on a few hundred dollars I never really got to use.
I thought about doing a charge back but am afraid that the gym will send it to collections.
Should I just consider it a wash and let it go?
