I've seen plenty of cool DIY can dispensers, and a receptacle can really be anything. However, I'm trying to encourage the household to throw out their cans (read: there are empty cans all over my damn house). I'm thinking of building something like a dispenser that will only dispense when an empty can is inserted, but that sounds a little more engineer-y than I'm equipped for.
