So I know of the 16 and 28 inch trick but even when tapping there, around it and more, the entire floor sounds the same. I have drilled two holes and nailed 2 for decor but its only like an inch thick. I heard the plaster might be kind floating away from the beams but i stuck a whole pencil up and it hit nothing.
