I get paid twice a month 15 & 30/31.

I am trying to get ahold of my finances and budget better. In doing so I am thinking of trying to split my expenses as evenly as possible over the two pay periods. I also am wondering if I could make everything have a set due date.

For example: I can set all bills to either be paid on the 2nd or 17th of each month (as evenly as possible). That way I can ensure expenses get paid before I spend on anything else. I also feel like it will take the mental math out of trying to remember which bills are coming due.

My thought process on splitting it evenly is to avoid have a large sum left over for one period as i find i spend without realizing it. I have never gone over, but I have come close.

I would love to hear personal advice.
