So I’ll try to make this short and to the point. I currently “own” a Jeep Wrangler. 2010, 82k miles on it, owe roughly 8k on it still. Got an offer to sell it for around 15k, which would give me about 7k for a down payment on a new vehicle. I’m in need of a bit of advice on if right now is a good time to sell and buy something new. Here are a few key points going on in my life right now.
-Newborn, first child born 7 weeks ago.
-planning on getting out of the military in December, been applying like crazy but nothing lined up yet.
-Wife is in a similar position, she doesn’t have anything lined up just yet.
-a lot of the job I’m applying to do credit checks, my credit is 813 (credit karma) I’d like to keep it high while these jobs look into my background
I’m just worried the longer I wait the less I’ll get for the jeep. I could sell the jeep now and hold off on buying something new until we moved in December, but it would be a stretch on managing life with one car.
Thoughts?
