I received a $50 fan to my house, addressed to my name, and the label says it was shipped from Amazon. The USPS tracking number I got from the label says it was shipped from an Amazon warehouse in Maryland. I didn't order this or pay for it, and it's not in my Amazon order history. I chatted with Amazon customer service and sent them a picture of the label on the box. They claim that label is not from them since they always put an order number on the label and this label does not have an order number. I recently heard of a scam called 'brushing' where Amazon sellers are creating fake accounts and ordering their products to random people so that they can leave positive reviews on their own products. But, in this case, Amazon is saying that this did not come from them as the label doesnt seem to be from them and they don't have the USPS tracking number in their system. Does anyone know what could have happened or what the scam here is? Thanks
