Here is my Fusion 360 Plan (More of a guide actually). I left the plywood top off to show cross connect under it. I doubled up the 2x4 in the front so I can clamp stuff to the edge as needed.I have an old door that is really flat so I used that to assemble the top.Finished top. It's not at all flat but that worked out laterI used Tapcon 3/8 in. x 3 in. Hex Washer-Head bolts to mount to the wall and floorI drilled 3/8 inch holes in the wood and cinder block, used the saw horses to get to the height I wanted and attached it one at a time. The second one was drilled and bolted while my wife held it level. This is a shot of the top attached to the wall. I leveled it and attached this old 2x4 to hold it up. It's clear of the horses below it.Each of the 4 legs are doubled up 4x4 each measured on the spot, leveled up and screwed into place. I used a hammer drill to make the hole for the bolts as shown. Each leg is a different length as my floor garage is angled down to the front of the garage. I measured and cut it that day.I selected this Bessey 5 inch vise as I wanted a vise that I'll hopefully never need to swap out.And here is the complete work bench. The 2x4 in the vise will become the stringer to hold a t18 led work light above it I put in to light it up properly. My work area fully packed (before I put the light and outlets). That drill press is no longer on the floor and now cleaned up on the benchIt's not much, but it's 40 by 52 inches, and comes in handy. I needed it to be high enough to fit my Father's Saw table underneath and I mounted it to the wall and floor so I would not need cross members to keep the legs in place. I didn't lose any storage either and still have room for my car in the garage. via /r/DIY https://ift.tt/31emvHa
