Hey all, after a lot of uncertainty with my job, I believe I have the budget to move into my own place, but I’m not entirely confident. I currently live at home.
I would be going for a cheap 1 bed/studio. In my city, that would be from 800-$1000 range. I would consider roommates but I would prefer to live alone. If anyone could recommend any resources for finding roommates, I would love to take a look.
I currently make 41k yearly, which comes out to around $2714/month in my state post tax. I believe I have created an accurate budget, but want to double check if I have everything thought out. I realize electric might fluctuate (how expensive could it be for a 1 bed?), and I put 500 as my monthly food budget (definitely don’t plan on spending that much, but I’d rather plan for more).
I have no debts, and everything listed in the budget is what I would be paying for.
Is this doable? Are there any costs I did not think of? I attached a pic of my budget so I would love to hear feedback. I would be taking that monthly difference and putting it directly in my investment/savings account.
