As the title suggests, my backyard has a pretty gnarly slope. So my plan is to make terraces but I'm not totally sure what blocks to use and what my foundation should be.I've done some research and so far my plan is to use 3/4 gravel for the base of the wall and use generic concrete blocks from Home Depot for the wall itself. The blocks are hollow in the middle so I'll be reinforcing them with rebar and filling them with cement. My main worry is that using a gravel foundation won't be sturdy enough for the concrete blocks.I'll be attaching pictures of my backyard and the blocks for reference. Any help would be appreciated.
